Day 13 of 30 Days of Marijuana Startups.  Today’s startup is an international one.  I’ve spent hours searching for international marijuana startups.  I truly believe that most startups aren’t talking about or even considering how the international community affects the development of the cannabis industry.  Not too long ago, I tweeted that I was looking for an international marijuana company.  Unfortunately, I didn’t get any responses.

Today’s startup is specifically for marijuana growers who utilizes greenhouses.  DryGair is based in Israel and was established in 2010.  I guess that means they can’t be categorized as a “startup” per se but instead a canna-business.  They developed an environment friendly dehumidifier to address the humidity problem in greenhouses.

By using less energy and less pesticides, DryGair dehumidifiers helps reduce the grower’s expense and contributes to better yield, quality, and quantity.  Their solution enables growers to maximize the control of the climate  condition in the greenhouse and to reduce the humidity.

DryGair has five different humidifiers thats sure to cover all humidity issues no matter how big or small the greenhouse.  The Standard Unit covers a 1,400 – 4,000 m2 , Their Small Unit was designed to control relative small green houses and covers a 500 – 2,000 m2 greenhouse.  A Warm Climate Unit deals with the problem of humidity in high temperature environments.  It can control the climate of a 1,500 – 4,000 m2 greenhouse.

Their Split Unit  was designed to allow growers to maximize the utilization of greenhouse space.  The split unit can be positioned according to specific needs, i.e. top, hanging, bottom, etc).  It covers a green house area of 1,400 – 4,000 m2 .  Lastly, they Dehumidifying and Heating Unit is just what the name says.  DryGair combined dehumidification and heating solution in one unit.  The unit distributes warm air above the plant’s, which enables better control of the plant temperature and better distribution of the temperature within the greenhouse.  It covers a 1,400 – 3,000 m2 greenhouse.

DyrGair HQ is in Israel and they have offices in Deutschland, Holland, Denmark, and Sweden.  Wouldn’t it be awesome if they had an office in the US?  I reached out to DryGair and waited several days for the response.  Unfortunately they haven’t responded yet but t’s not gonna stop me from posting, because growers in the US and other parts of the world may not know of DryGair’s industrial humidifiers.

DryGair’s social media presence is limited, however like their Facebook page and let them know AsaTera sent you.  They also have a contact page and if you’re a grower that uses a greenhouse to grow your cannabis; send them a message.  Ask about costs and the possibility of doing business in the US, and definitely let them know AsaTera sent you!!

  1. There are several other companies that produce similar units to this one. Traditionally used in horticulture crops, but can be easily transferred over to greenhouse marijuana cultivation. Its just one of many, many growing technologies that are currently being used in commercial agriculture.

Thats good to hear. I like this specific company because it is the first international company i’ve written about. What are some other or similar companies to this one?
